About Me
Santhosh Kalash Rajendrakumar, PhD
Researcher | Innovator | Science Communicator
I am a biomedical researcher and translational innovator working at the cutting edge of biotechnology, nanomedicine, and drug delivery. My work lies at the intersection of advanced materials science and medicine, with a focus on developing next-generation therapeutic systems—from polymeric nanoparticles to RNA-based platforms—for precision medicine.
Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor (Research Focused) at the University of Warwick, Department of Chemistry, where I lead research in smart drug delivery, immunoengineering, and biomaterials for cancer and inflammatory diseases.
My Research Focus
🔬 Smart Delivery Systems
Designing intelligent carriers for localized and controlled release of therapeutics—especially mRNA, siRNA, and protein biologics.
🧬 RNA & Polymer Therapeutics
Developing customizable polymeric nanoparticle platforms to improve the stability, targeting, and uptake of RNA-based drugs.
🧪 Translational Nanomedicine
From bench to bedside: I work to bridge the gap between scientific discovery and clinical application, ensuring that innovative technologies are both effective and safe through comprehensive preclinical evaluation.
